Techno-Medicine MEETUP

Let’s sing!
Our monthly meetup format continues with:
(1) a simple chatty meet-each-other meetup from 7pm upstairs at the beautiful Island Queen, followed by
(2) a joyous, playful session of collective song from 8:30pm (see below), where anyone who wants to continue to chat does so downstairs, before we reunite at the end.
Our workshop continues the joys of spring with collective song - our tribute to that glorious growing birdsong all around us.
This round, we’ll be exploring the intersection between 2 things we love the most: TECHNO + MEDICINE; we’ll sing improvised medicine songs - to techno!
We believe we can all sing; we all have a song within us. This session - like all - is open to anyone, no matter what you think of your singing voice :)
We’d love singers and musicians of all forms to come together and ecstase in the delicious spirit of improvisation: sighing, murmuring, ohmming, toning, droning, wailing, screaming, harmonsiing, echoing, mirroring, flowing and aligning together, in all kinds of playful, imaginative and collaborative ways
We’d love to hear what song & music our community can co-create.
Please feel free to bring additional instruments! Shakers, rattles, drums, hang drums, whistles, pipes, guitars, keyboard - whatever - all is welcome in our luscious, creative jam.
