This Halloween (Friday 1st November), Fox&Badge invite you to an epic post-apocalyptic world of tribes and warriors, all on a wild high-octane journey through mayhem to redemption, inspired by George Miller’s 5 MadMax movies.
Come experience the thrill and awe of the Aussie outback Open Road; the Thunderdome, the Citadel, Gas Town, Bullet Farm, Refinery and Bartertown; & the refuge of the Oasis and the Green Place.
MadMaXXX explores the antithesis to Versailles - moving from an effeminate world of hyper-sophistication to a hyper-masculinised world of toughness and metal, transitioning from light to dark, white lace to black diesel, hyper-civilised order to furious chaos; luxury to ingenious survival. There’s no cake in the desert.
We’re delighted to finally be working with the epic venue, Studio 338 - which was originally London’s largest nightclub, meaning we’ll have lots of space to explore & stretch out in. It was originally launched with one aim: to bring Ibiza to London - & Ibiza’s arid soil is just that orange that we think of in the Mad Max movies.
Amidst all the apocalypse, we seek redemption, celebrating community and humanity - and how we all flourish when we move from solitary individualism into the collective and collaborative. We also celebrate the redemptive power of the grounded feminine, tempering the destructive anarchic violence of the wilderness, moral decay, and ecological collapse.

Versailles was Theatre - and where better than an old ornate theatre to explore this spectacle?
This is our first event where almost all of our extraordinary artists & musicians will be playing live sets with live instruments, so we’re delighted to be working with one of London’s premiere gig venues, Brixton Electric, which we’ll be totally transforming into a true Palace of Pleasure. It was at one time even called The Regal, designed to match the splendour of the adjacent Town Hall; you can literally reach out and caress the opulent bodies encased in its ornament.
It has the biggest, widest, deepest, tallest stage we’ve ever worked with (greater even than Marie Antoinette’s Queen’s Theatre at Versailles), which we’ll be expanding into a vast orgasmic spectacle, replete with wild and extravagant aerial and fire performances, whilst secret immersive interactions explode across the floors and balconies above. Look out for the largest 4-poster bed in London - just for you!
Nearby Electric Avenue was trail-blazing - the first British market street to be lit by electric lights in 1888, a year before the French completed the Eiffel Tower to commemorate the Revolution (which wouldn’t electrify til the turn of the Millenium). It was also the epicentre of a later revolution in British politics with the Brixton Riots a century later, inspiring Eddy Grant’s chart-topping song of the same name, and playing its part in the crucial evolution towards change & social justice.
If Versailles symbolised the archaic centrality of an absolute monarch - the epitome of the VIP culture we deplore - we tear down the barriers and release all our spaces and stages to the people. Ascend and storm the Royal Boxes either side of the stages for a special treat :)

We’re delighted to finally be going to HEAVEN - the glorious, legendary and inclusive London venue that lies at the very epicentre of the city, deep beneath Charing Cross Station; an extremely rare opportunity that we've been chasing for years, and has been made possible by our collaboration with WAX. It’s a glorious labyrinth of spaces, with awesome sound and lights, and plenty of space to dance and explore and chill. It’s also perfect for our theme, and our voyage back to the extraordinary ancestry within us all.
Heaven sits like a masonic tomb beneath a station on the Thames, at the precise inflection point where the northbound Thames turns East to the sea and Ra, the rising sun. Upriver it becomes the Isis. The Ancient Egyptians called their land “Kemet”, meaning black land, because of the Nile; the dark Thames, too, traces its etymology to the same meaning.
Cleopatra’s Needle & its Guardian Sphinxes are only a few hundred metres away, and the Rosetta Stone less than a mile; the occult beckons everywhere.
